Solution
Temperature rise. From we get , with kg the same for all: Final temperatures. Adding the initial C gives C, C, C, C. Conclusion. For the same heat and mass, the smaller the specific heat , the more the substance heats up. Water, with the highest , stays the coldest; sand, with the lowest , becomes the hottest.
