Problem

Convert $100\ ^\circ\text{C}$ to kelvin and $0\ \text{K}$ to degrees Celsius.

Solution

The relation between the two scales is $T_\text{K} = T_{^\circ\text{C}} + 273{,}15$ (approximating to $273$).

From Celsius to kelvin: $T = 100 + 273 = 373\ \text{K}$ From kelvin to Celsius ($0$ K is absolute zero): $T_{^\circ\text{C}} = 0 - 273 = -273\ ^\circ\text{C}$ $\ev{T \approx 373\ \text{K}\quad ; \quad -273\ ^\circ\text{C}}$
