Problem

An infinite ladder network is a periodic chain of identical cells: on each cell a resistor RAR_A in series on the top wire and a resistor RBR_B shunted between the two wires. With RA=1  ΩR_A = 1\;\Omega and RB=3  ΩR_B = 3\;\Omega, find the equivalent resistance ZZ_\infty seen at the input terminals.

RAR_A in series on the top wire, RBR_B shunted; the cell repeats to infinity.
